The Upper Valley Fencing Club is the region’s home for the sport of fencing. Our focus is on modern fencing in all 3 weapons—foil, épée and saber—with a strong sense of the classical virtues of form and dignity.

The UVFC offers instruction, practice and sport at Tracy Hall in Norwich, Vermont, with the kind support of the Norwich Recreation Department. If you are an active fencer, a rusty blade or interested in learning about the sport, please join us!

For more information, please contact us: UpperValleyFencingClub@gmail.com

Our Winter 2018 session classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, January 3 through April 30. NO CLASS MARCH 5th. This is a change from the original schedule. Check out our Classes page for more information.

Tournaments and other events of interest

The  Upper Valley Fencing Club will be hosting three tournaments in the 2017 / 2018 season. Our first tournament was the Upper Valley Holiday Open on December 9, 2017 at The Sharon Academy in Sharon Vermont. Here is a link to the AskFred Results page.  (Click Here).

Our second tournament, the Groundhog Open was held on February 4, 2018 also at The Sharon Academy in Sharon Vermont. Here is a link to the AskFred Results page: (Click Here).

The third tournament is our annual Doubles Tournament. This year it will be held on April 15th….a good reason to get your taxes in EARLY! Here is a link to the AskFred signup page. (Click Here). The format of this tournament provides lots of fencing. There is no elimination round so even if you are not “World class”, you still get to fence all day!
